like I said above: isn't there a point system like yhoo has? something to make sure users have to answer questions so they can post more themselves?

There is a point system integration available on Community Answers with Alpha User Points, JomSocial User Points and Mighty Touch User Points systems (These are third party extensions which you can obtain from their websites, AUP is a free component).

You can give points to users when they post questions, answers and can give points to the author of an answer which is selected as best answer by question asker.
